The Philippines animation industry exports almost all of its output to large international studios. Labour costs in the Philippines are less expensive than the United States by some 15-20 per cent in the case of 2D animation, and 20-30 per cent in the case of 3D animation. However, labour costs are now rising, making the country increasingly vulnerable to competition from low-cost studios in territories such as India and China. The animation industry in the Philippines has received support from the government, as animation is seen as one of the main drivers of the technology services industry in the country. In addition to outsourced animation production, animation studios in the Philippines are also active in original content production for the local market. Prominent among these are Top Peg Animation's Tutubi Patrol (Dragonfly Patrol) and Artfarm's Kwentong Kayumanggi (The Golden Story). The leading animation studios in the Philippines include Top Peg Animation & Creative Studio, Top Draw Animation, Philippine Animation Studio, Holy Cow! Animation, and Toei Animation (Philippines).
