Autodesk Signs Definitive Agreement to Buy Mudbox

Design software maker, Autodesk Inc. (ADSK.O: Quote, Profile, Research) said it has agreed to acquire substantially all the assets of Skymatter Ltd., a New Zealand-based privately held company that develops Mudbox 3D brush-based modeling software.

Financial terms of the transaction, which will expand Autodesk's 3D entertainment and design offering, were not disclosed.

Skymatter founders Andrew Camenisch, Dave Cardwell and Tibor Madjar will join Autodesk's media and entertainment business, Autodesk said in a statement.
