The text describes the basics of polygon modelling, the most commonly used tools and some tricks; Subdivision surfaces are also mentioned. CAECAE further increases its position in the modelling and simulation market with the acquisition of MultiGen-Paradigm

Montreal, April 20, 2007 – (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) – CAE announced today the company has signed an agreement with Parallax Capital Partners, LLC and others to acquire MultiGen Paradigm Inc., for US$16 million (C$18 million) in cash. The acquisition is expected to be concluded in May 2007, subject to US government approvals.

In this tutorial you will learn how to create the image seen below using displacement in Mental Ray for Maya.
To follow along with this tutorial you will need the following software installed on your machine:

* Maya with the Mental Ray plug-in loaded
* Adobe Photoshop CS* or higher - For image stitching
* WinZip or WinRar - To extract the files
* Pull SDTS - To convert the DEM data to Raw files
* Python - Required to run PullSDTS
