Negative Space
The less complicated or empty areas of an image.

NURBS
Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline, 3D geometry generally producing smooth surface. Also called Patch.

Nonsquare Pixel
A pixel whose width is not the same size as its height. The ration of width to height is measured in terms of a pixel aspect ratio.

Normals
The surface of an object has a front and back, the normals are the surface front side. Also called Surface Normal.

NTSC
National Television Systems Committee. Refers not only to the committee itself, but also to the standard that they established for colour television in the United States and other countries. It carries 525 lines of information, played back at a rate of approximately 30 frames per second (actually 29.97). Due to its unreliable colour reproduction ability, the initials are often said to stand for “Never The Same Colour”.
